This site is a tribute to Maureen Jackson. She was and is much loved and will always be remembered.


Mother to Fiona, Corrina and Rebekah, Grandmother to Leo and Max.


A larger than life character, always there with a strong view on what was right or wrong.


Maureen (Mo) went from the East End of London through the showbiz lifestyle with Anthony (Lonnie) Donegan to the jet set lifestyle with her second husband Martin where she was the hostess and Grande Dame on many a Cannes award show and conference.


Whilst doing that she and "Mart" made what was then seen as an insane idea of moving out of London to the wilds of Kent and renovating a massive house in Hawkhurst. You knew it was rather special when the postal address was just..... The White House, Hawkhurst, Kent, no street name, no number..... You knew it when you saw it.


Mo was always there for family and friends through the good times and the bad times..... Marriages, births, deaths, divorces, Mo was always there, glam'ed up, glass of wine always at the ready and something comforting in the kitchen.


Mo took pride in her appearance, even to the end of here life but was never happier than when she was grubbing around in the garden, taking the dogs for walks and having family and friends over for meal, drinks and long long evenings of chat and putting the world to rights.


In celebration of her life, Mo would only have wished everyone who attends her funeral to be dressed up, hats, sunglasses, posh frocks and pearls. A bright person, a bright life a bright send off , that really is Mo......
